More Clara news, now that her book Cautiva (Captive) is about to be published in Colombia. Chile’s daily El Mercurio writes that she forgives Ingrid Betancourt for what happened between them.Among other things Clara tells that Ingrid wouldn’t let her participate in her French lessons and that she was indifferent when Clara appeared to be pregnant.
Clara also told the Spanish press agency EFE that it was a blatant stupidity to have accompanied Ingrid on her journey to San Vicente del Caguán, when the FARC were still in power.
She insists in not telling who is the father of her son Emmanuel, who was born during captivity.
Clara’s book is the fifth of former FARC hostages, after the publications of John Pinchao, Luis Eladio Pérez, ex-secretary of state Fernando Araújo and the three Americans Keith Stansell, Thomas Howes and Marc Gonsalves (Out of Captivity), which had a lot of publicity.
